Having a great time at CCA!

Mrs. Jan Allbritton
Administrator of Crimson Christian Academy
Jan Allbritton has taught for 32 years. She taught in the public school arena at South Park in Beaumont, Hudson, Fort Stockton, and Diboll ISD. She retired from public school eleven years ago.
She then taught at St. Cyprian's for eight years before coming to Crimson Christian Academy as the Administrator.
Jan and Mike, her husband, are the pastors at Holy Spirit Freedom Fellowship. They have been in prison ministry for 19 years and have been over a Healing Room for several years. They have three grown children and nine grandchildren. Both Jan and Mike love praying over people and ministering.
Jan loves children and has been actively involved with children in ministry and education.
She sees CCA as a launching pad for sending strong Christian young people out to be world changers for Christ.
She also sees CCA as providing a foundation for these young people so that they can go into the world and influence others for the better.

Isaiah 40:31

What does a faith-walking Christian teacher do after retirement from the public school system? This brief reflection shares my life as a mother, wife and an educator.

Fortunately, I was blessed to be able to devote my early years to my family as a stay-at-home mom.  During those years I volunteered as a team mom, GA leader at church, Girl Scout sponsor, and a foster parent.  I also served in various positions for the PTA at my children’s school.

When all my children were in school, I decided to go to college to become an educator.   I earned a secondary teaching certification with a major in English and a minor in Spanish.  During the first seven years after graduating from SFA, I taught English and Spanish at Hudson Middle School.  Then, I had the opportunity to move to the high school level and teach Spanish at Diboll for one year.  Because of health issues I was unable to teach the following year, but with God’s grace I was later able to complete the remainder of my twenty-two years teaching Spanish and English at Central High School.

When I reached the point that I could retire from the public school system, I did.  I miss being in the classroom and the interaction with students.  I have not been idle, but have worked as a substitute for my daughter, who is a school counselor, and as a proofreader for another one of my daughters, who is a court reporter.  During my two years of retirement I have enjoyed spending my extra time with my children, my grandchildren, my mother and my husband.  Now, I am ready for the new experiences and challenges as I teach the students at Crimson Christian Academy.

Hi. My name is Kristi Hill. I have been married to Mike for 19 years. We have two children, Mikey age 12 and Jessica age 9. I graduated from Stephen F. Austin in December 2009.  My degree is Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. I am certified by the State of Texas to teach early childhood through sixth grade. I have taught first grade and Kindergarten. I really love watching the children grow and blossom.

Mrs. Martha Huffman

Raised in Angelina Co., one of the most influential things in my life was the country church I went to until I graduated High School. It was filled with loving relatives and friends and they taught the Bible and core values that have stayed with me all my life.

I attended Diboll ISD through 8th grade, then went to Lufkin and graduated there. I graduated from University of Houston with a BA in Elementary Education.

I am mother of three and grandmother of three.

I have 29 years of public teaching experience. I also taught 3 years in a Christian School in Lufkin. My experience ranges from 2nd grade through 6th grade, including 4-5 year olds in day care. I love children and teaching them. Nothing is more exciting than watching their faces light up when they are successful.

I have always been active in church teaching High School, College & Career, Singles, and Senior ladies. For the last two years I have been in San Antonio on mission helping to grow a “baby” church. I am currently a member of Southside Baptist Church where this fall I will be teaching the 1st through 3rd grade girls on Wednesday nights.

Loving and teaching children have always been such an integral part of my life and I am excited to be a part of Crimson Christian Academy where I can not only love the kids and teach academics, but I will have the privilege of teaching Christian truths and values.
